Kloofbears Tess of TimberKnollBorn July 29, 2000
Tess is very unique; she loves life and those that are a part of it. She has blessed us with two litters of pups and is on her way to becoming a ROM (Register of Merit). Her pups have become Champions, hold water titles, and obedience titles. She is very strong willed and that makes her an asset within the Hudson Ambassadors program as any strong willed student has met their match when they begin to work with Tess.

CH Kloofbear’s Over the Rainbow TimberKnoll CGC, WD, WRD (Ellie)Born June 30, 2003
Ellie came to us from Evelyn DeReus and Kloofbear Kennel. She has been a real joy from day one. When I went to pick her up, she was outside in a short puppy pen on the front lawn with her littermates. When she saw me walking across the lawn, she ran straight to me and stood up against the pen to be picked up and she has been in my arms ever since.
Her show career started in February 2005 where she placed 1st in her class and took Reserve. She became a Champion May 2005 where she took First, Winners, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex. We then traveled to Virginia where she took four Best of Breeds and a Best of Opposite in a five-day show. From summer of 2005 to October 2006 Ellie has taken Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex in nearly every show she has been entered in. She is tremendous in the water and has a natural instinct for it. She was rather easy to train and accomplished both Water Dog and Water Rescue Dog titles by October 2006. Ellie is now taking some time to have puppies and will then continue on her way to the Versatile Newfoundland Title (an award given to a Newfoundland who has accomplished being a Champion, earning Obedience, Water and Drafting Titles) and back in the show ring.
CH TimberKnoll’s Great Expectation (Landon)Born December 16, 2003
Landon is from our first breeding with Tess and Hudson. On a snowy day in December came seven of the most beautiful and healthy pups anyone could dream of. They were born under the Christmas tree, as Tess would not use the whelping box. In that bunch with mom under the tree a little girl with a yellow ribbon stood out as if to say here I am. Landon started her show career at the SENC Regional Supported Entry taking First place in the 12-18 month class on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, she took First, Winners and Best of Winners, which was a five point major. Landon became a Champion in June 2005.

TimberKnoll’s Steppin Through the Rainbow (Sydnee)January 2, 2007
Like mother like daughter they are so much a like, just take them to the lake and see. Sydnee is five months old and is Ellie’s first born. She is growing so fast, it is hard to believe she is still a baby. She loves the water, and is well on her way to a water title and will begin her show career soon. I knew from the very beginning she was very smart and this holds true today. She learns quickly and does not forget. She encourages each of the Newfs to play each day. She plays tug-o-war with Hudson and Oscar. Each must have Sydnee time each day. She displays some of the time greater wisdom than a puppy should have but then perhaps that was Madison’s gift to her. |
